The Public-Community Water-Supply (PCWS) Wells is an ESRI Geographic Information
System (GIS) point shapefile with associated Microsoft Access relational
database. It contains information for the wells in New Jersey that supply
potable water to public communities. The NJDEP has cataloged and field located,
using the Global Positioning System (GPS), the PCWS wells as part of the
Source Water Area delineation process. The data in this database and coverage
originate from the NJGS Wells Database. (Updated 7-27-2007)
